Myself and two other women had the opportunity to come in as visual merchandisers for a store named New To You in Maywood, IL. Our job was to change the layout for their girls section. We got the chance to create a planogram using the software 'Visual Retailing, MockShop'. With this software we were able to reorganize the racks in the section to create more space for mothers with strollers. In addition, we created mini displays around the section that children would enjoy looking at. This experience taught me to work in a different retail setting and to remember how small details can make a big difference to a customer's experience.
